Since the last edition our readers have fallen in love with Sunset Waters on Macleay Island - and we know why. This is one of those get-away locations with everything for the perfect holiday. The two storey home loves its waterway view and has heaps of room for large families to play and relax. There is no finer end to a day than perched up on one of the decks with a glass of wine in hand and the sun falling over the yardarm.The bedrooms are a real highlight here, providing spacious and comfortable windows on the marine panorama below. Adults will love stargazing from the blissful upstairs serenity of the master bedroom deck, while the kids romp away downstairs or quietly bury themselves in a book or a DVD. The kitchen is fully equipped, right down to scaling blades for your fishing catch - a timber walkway provides easy access to the foreshore.
If you have one, bring your own boat or tinnie to tie up to the property’s private mooring. And don’t forget your fishing rods, bathers and binoculars. The island lies within the Moreton Bay marine park and is rich in birds, wildlife, dugongs and turtles.

We visited sunset waters in 2009 what a fantastic place to relax and unwind watching the sunset over the bay with a nice chilled glass of Chardonnay a fantastic home and location and fibulas housekeeper and family Elaine and john you are amazing we are
