There was a very good reason for using Songbirds in the Forest as the cover photo for the previous edition of this guide - it exemplifies all we are passionate about. Songbirds combines a sublimely beautiful setting with exceptional standards of style and guest care to create an unforgettable travel experience.This multi-award-winning property has been recognised for both its exquisite Asian-influenced accommodation and the extraordinary restaurant, which opens its curvilinear back to a curtain of majestic rainforest. It was named Restaurant of the Year on the Gold Coast for two consecutive years. The six villas are nothing short of splendid: soaked in a rich colouring of red and chocolate, framed in timber, and adorned with stunning original art. Big windows and decks embrace the tropical rainforest setting, which provides an astonishing soundscape courtesy of many of Australia’s brightest songbirds.
If you can bear to leave behind the yoga and massages at Songbirds, the local area is full of interest. There are rainforest walks, wineries, golf, ballooning, cheese making and more.
