Palm Cove is all that its name evokes: a warm, sandy curve of beach fringed by swaying tropical palms. This is the archetypal south seas romantic movie setting, with you happily placed in the director’s chair and calling all the shots at Sanctuary Palm Cove.Sanctuary has brought a new level of style to the Palm Cove district, with a gorgeously open ambience and distinctive decorative aesthetic. Designed by architect John Mainwaring, the apartments rest in a spacious parkland setting complete with lakes and water lilies. The open feeling continues indoors with interiors that are distinguished by a generous use of space and light. Each is subtly positioned to take in panoramic views of the gardens from private balconies with fully opening window walls. In contrast to much beachside accommodation, this is the epitome of privacy, tranquillity and style.
If you need to leave, it’s all just a short saunter to the beach and laid-back street life among boutiques, cafes and award-winning restaurants. Cairns is just down the road for reef tours and shopping indulgence.
