A nest of indulgenceRobyn’s Nest immediately appealed to our inner comfort hound. As you travel from Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra, this imposing Merimbula property makes an ideal stopping point for rest, relaxation or a complete holiday. The atmosphere is homey and inviting, reflecting host Robyn Britten’s genuine love of gorgeous florals, rich burgundy and divinely detailed interiors.
The facilities are ideal for holidaymakers or conference attendees using the 40-seat meeting centre. You can play tennis, do laps in the pool, take a spa or sauna, or wander down to the private jetty for some quiet reflection or fishing. The main house has six sumptuous guest suites (all with ensuites and individual air-conditioning) and there are 14 self-contained one- or two-bedroom cottages in the superbly landscaped gardens. Everyone is welcome to devour a full breakfast in the Lodge or prepare their own in a cottage. Bird lovers will twitch with pleasure here as they try to count the 56 species that flutter around the local waters.
The location is ideal: a stroll to the boardwalk that leads around the lake to the town centre. A peaceful wander towards town will soon have you sipping a latte over your newspaper or booking up a deep-sea fishing tour.
