As you enjoy the scenic drive to Byfield and Rainforest Ranch, you feel that sense of leaving the world behind and returning to nature. On arrival at this beautifully manicured property, time seems to stop and the bliss begins. It’s no wonder this is a favourite escape for couples seeking private time together.The six open-plan cottages are discreetly placed around the park-like grounds of Rainforest Ranch. Each is ideal for rest and relaxation, perhaps in the deep claw-foot baths or king-size beds, and the interiors are accented by timber panelling, slate floors and arched roofs. Screened verandahs make a perfect setting for a private candlelit dinner for two or a sunny tropical breakfast. You can bring your own food or hosts Jean and Warren can provide for you. The property also includes a reception pavilion beside its gorgeous lagoon, which is perfect for intimate weddings or ceremonies.
If you like exploring, there are some excellent rainforest, river and coastal locations to seek out including the famed and pristine Five Rocks and Nine Mile Beach. There is even a great little restaurant nearby.
