Great Ocean Road bliss

Fairhaven, right near Aireys Inlet, Anglesea and Lorne, features one of the longest and most stunning white-sand beaches of the whole Great Ocean Road. One of Fairhaven's most impressive retreats is Ocean Inlet, with its three different accommodation styles.

The first two are romantic, large and luxuriously appointed private apartments. Shorehouse has an enormous lounge/dining area downstairs and an equally large bedroom upstairs with a corner spa in its ensuite along with a wall of glass. There is also a private balcony with uninterrupted views across the inlet to Bass Strait and the Split Point Lighthouse. Sunsets and sunrises are spectacular from this vantage point. Coral Cove is equally impressive, with two ground floor bedrooms and a large open-plan full kitchen, lounge and dining room. Whichever you choose, both have scrumptious full breakfast provisions available, candles for that romantic touch, lots of bonus treats and privacy - only one booking at a time is taken in either apartment, or both can be taken for friends travelling together.

The Campers' Cabin is the third surprising option. It is made up of one 'Eat, Bathe' pavilion, plus one 'Sleep' pavilion for two, an outdoor lounge with private love seat and inlet views. It makes a quirky getaway for those with a champagne taste on a beer budget.
