As the evening light dims and yellow beacons break out across Musavale Lodge, it doesn’t take much imagination to see it as a grand galleon moored against its final hillside home. That’s appropriate given that hosts Joe and Chris spent 30 years in the luxury yacht charter trade before anchoring at Eerwah Vale.The three guest rooms are gorgeously simple with timber plank flooring, the crispest white linens on the beds and feature pieces of furniture. You can be private in your own space or socialise in the majestic guest lounge with its roaring log fire, vaulted ceiling and big, comfy lounges. Outside, there are decks for sunning by the pool or taking an outdoors breakfast. All this makes Musavale a great option for a house gathering of friends.
There is an old-world sense of style and intimacy of service here. Joe makes his own multi-award-winning beer, there are Mediterranean themed dinners and Snoopy, the house Jack Russell, loves to meet visitors’ pets that are also welcome at Musavale Lodge. The location near Eumundi means plenty of options for daytrips to markets, cafes and superb walks.
