There is something magical about McMillans of Metung and we think the luxury of having so much space is the key to its enchantment.Its sprawling six acres features manicured lawns, towering gums, a large billabong heaving with birdlife and rushes, and a central swimming pool area next to the games and conference room. There is even a rambling children’s playground to keep the little ones busy.
This propery also has a stunning wedding ceremony spot, making McMillans a favourite for brides seeking a tranquil wedding venue. With a full day spa on-site, it is well suited to bridal parties or anyone seeking a little pampering during their holiday.
Dotted throughout the village-style resort are the cottages and villas. The cottages are charming for a Metung holiday, while those wanting a little more contemporary style will love the two-storey villas. Whichever you choose, each is self-contained, complete with bright interiors and the perfect deck on which to enjoy a tranquil breakfast or a barbecue feast as the sun sets.
Naturally, there is private mooring, but if you can’t bring your own boat, all you have to do is ask and a day boat can be delivered to the jetty. No special licence is needed, so it won’t be long before you are out on the water enjoying Metung’s famous waterways.
