A screen of forest surrounds this idyllic bushland kingdom, which is dotted with cottages that feel more like homesteads in their generous size. Don’t try to resist the primal urge to just run inside, fire up the spa, uncork a bottle of shiraz and begin to relax into an afternoon of country bliss.
The four superbly appointed cottages – two with three bedrooms, two with two bedrooms – are discretely dotted around the property, ensuring absolute peace and privacy. They are wonderfully fitted out for a fun stay with big return verandahs that feature barbecues, bubbling spas and outside dining settings. Hosts Dominic and Jane can even prepare gourmet barbecue packs of fresh local produce for you on request. Inside are wood fires, cathedral ceilings and chef’s kitchens with everything you need.
Get the kids busy with the breadmakers so that you wake to fresh bread to go with your Gaggia-made coffee.
