When it comes to selecting Darwin's most exclusive villas, Mandalay and Villa La Vue are undoubtedly the pick. Designed by Lord Alistair McAlpine, their combination of esplanade location and dreamy architecture is unsurpassed.Mandalay exudes a sultry romantic feel, with beautiful stonework, timber shutters and wide verandahs. The interiors are a rich blend of antique and modern furnishings (including a fascinating collection of indigenous and other artworks). No expense has been spared to ensure a luxury experience, including beautiful bed
linens and quality soft furnishings. All bedrooms open to a magnificent balcony with views overlooking Darwin's foreshore and harbour.
Villa La Vue shares a similar quality and style to Mandalay and is dressed in cool tones, blending tropical and French styles. Both villas offer spacious lounge rooms, a separate dining room and a gourmet kitchen.
Part of the magic of these villas is the setting within a lush garden, with use of an invitingly shaded pool. The location on Darwin's prestigious esplanade is within a short stroll to restaurants, shopping and Parliament and Government Houses.
