The usual superlatives are not enough for this dream beach house on Magnetic Island’s exquisite Horseshoe Bay. Lotus House is a stunning fusion of contemporary Australian beach style with a meticulous, Asian-inspired attention to every detail of luxury and comfort. No expense has been spared in making this one the very best beach pads we have seen.Where to start? The gorgeous ambience of the place captures your heart first: the minutely tended gardens, the soaring cathedral roofs and detailed woodwork, and the stylish furniture and fittings that grace every corner. There is plenty of entertainment room for up to six people, with the perfect mix of shared space and private corners for solitude inside and out. The three master bedrooms are little pleasure palaces in their own right.
The 40-metre frontage on Horseshoe Bay is fringed by the immaculate gardens. There are fine places to eat on Magnetic Island and booking to see the grand spectacle of the outer Barrier Reef is easy. But, really, why would you want to leave Lotus House?
