Lochinver Farm is in the heart of Victoria’s rich goldfi elds area, with historic Maldon, Maryborough andAvoca just up the road. But with 1000 acres of riverfront farming land and a rich heritage dating back to the 1860s, Lochinver is a destination itself. Once you enter the long drive, you may not want to leave.
Lochinver’s crowning glory is the bluestone Homestead. Everything about the home is grand. The diningroom features two dining tables (one of which is also a pool table), there are five bedrooms (sleeping up to 12), the country kitchen is huge and the verandah is designed for lazy afternoons.
Across from the Homestead is the cute Creek Cottage, which is perfect for one couple. The farm also has the three-bedroom Wren Cottage, which was bought in 1907 for £35 and then moved to this property. It has been lovingly refurbished and we love the enclosed verandah with its antique wicker chairs that are perfect for those hot summer days.
You can explore the farm, nose around the many historic outbuildings and say hello to Meg, the friendly farm dog. And for complete relaxation, there’s the 10-person hydrotherapy spa pavilion.
Lochinver is a fabulous for friends and family groups – the whole property can take up to 24 people.
