Little Bunda is a gift of love, handmade by Jen and Greg Charleson whose philosophy is to source everything from local artisans (thus also minimising carbon emissions). Mud bricks and Australian hardwoods provide natural insulation and pleasing aesthetics. The two bedrooms are sublime havens of minimalist beauty, with sun-dried bed linen and a graceful ambience. Fine craftsmanship in the kitchen includes applebox and Tasmanian myrtle cabinetwork, and quality appliances reflect the high attention to detail throughout the cottage. French doors open onto wraparound verandahs overlooking rolling paddocks and vineyards – the perfect place to enjoy an award-winning Charles Sturt University wine at sunset.
The Riverina is incredibly diverse and Wagga Wagga has many hidden treasures. The exquisite National Art Glass Collection has a dazzling range of displays, the September Jazz and Blues Festival attracts up to 60 bands, and Junee’s Licorice & Chocolate Factory is simply delicious.
