Lodged in loving bliss

Sometimes you need a getaway that is the complete package, somewhere you can arrive and know that everything will be taken care of, including you. Limpinwood Lodge is all about lifting burdens from shoulders - no driving about to eat at night, no finding somewhere else for breakfast. You can feel the weight of city concerns falling away as you nose your car up the Numbah Valley Road into a spectacularly beautiful landscape of forests and farms.

Limpinwood has three chalets that have been purpose-built to enable couples to escape for a few days and nights of romantic bliss. Each has its own secluded outlook onto the nine-acre estate with names that allude to their views: Rainforest, Pinnacle and Valley View. Each has its own discrete charms such as a four-poster bed, or a funky woven-cane daybed. All have a spa (one in a pavilion), open fires, cable TV and kitchenettes for preparing your complementary breakfast, which includes fresh-baked hot bread. We recommend taking one of Robyn and Bob Rowney's comfort food dinner packages on your private deck.

Nearby is historic Tyalgum village, which has the gorgeous Flutterbies Cafe, galleries, shops to browse and a classical music festival every September.
