Some places just have it - the sensual combination of style, location, food and a total focus on the guest’s experience. Lillypilly’s is one of them. We think it works so well because - as always - of the people who run it. Josef Gruber was a leading executive chef at major Sydney hotels for more than 12 years and Adele is a sought-after masseuse.But we won’t start with the fabulous food and therapeutic touch. It is the five elegant cottages that enthralled us with their spellbinding views over Lake Baroon and the Blackall Ranges. Reclining in the spa alcove after arrival with some of Josef’s piping hot scones, a pot of tea and the sound of bird calls rising from the ranges is a near-spiritual experience. The self-contained cottages are beautifully proportioned and dressed with restful fabrics, hues and timberwork.
The cottages make the perfect setting for one of Josef’s masterchef presentations of progressive dining, each course delivered in sequence to the romantic privacy of your cottage. The breast of free range chicken stuffed with herbs and pinenuts and served with corn bread and a jus lie is just one temptation.

Five cottages (queen bed, kitchenette, lounge with fireplace, DVD, CD, spa alcove, private balcony). Saltwater pool. Massage available. Scones on arrival. Dinner by arrangement; full breakfast served.
