Janalli has been transformed into one of the most beautiful places to enjoy for a special getaway. Phillipa and Alan Beeson have taken this original soldier settlement property and turned it into the most incredible wonderland. Every vista is a feast for the eyes. The immaculately presented and welcoming farmhouse is set on a hill above Lake Tarago, just over one hour’s drive from Melbourne.
Here you will find three guest suites, each with a queen bed, exquisite furnishings and their own ensuite. But it is the 10 acres of magnifi cently maintained gardens that will really take your breath away. Take a stroll and be delighted by its many surprises at every turn. These include an English wood and rose arbour, formal Italian and Mediterranean gardens, a Japanese garden overlooking one of two ornamental lakes full of trout, and a section of Australian native and bush food plants, all shared by a variety of native birds. No wonder this has become a popular wedding setting.
Phillipa and Alan provide a full breakfast, made up of their own organic eggs and garden fruits and herbs. Dinner also available on request, takes advantage of their seasonal, home grown produce as well as local goods, including meat from the Neerim South butcher. The Beesons can even offer you their own pinot noir.
