Don’t be misled by the cute name, this is is definitely no hut, though it is on a hill, which means you get almost 360-degree views of pure Australian landscape. Relax to a scene of sheep grazing on the hills, with boulders and trees seemingly placed to create a photographer’s heaven, and plenty of birdlife and wildlife to complete the picturesque scene. Eagles, kangaroos and emus are also regular visitors here.Hut on the Hill is a 15-minute drive from Heathcote and getting there is part of the adventure. Drive through the rolling hills, which provide the perfect soil for some of Australia’s best shiraz. Our suggestion? To make the most of your relaxing stay, book a local wine tour to take in some of the many excellent cellar doors in the area.
Hut on the Hill has two luxurious bedrooms, an indulgent spa bathroom and a big open-plan living area. Views from all windows make the most of its amazing position, complete with total privacy - no need to close the blinds as you are the only guests at Hut on the Hill. An added bonus is the solar-heated SwimSpa in summer or the cosy wood fire in winter. Deluxe packages are also available with a late check-out.
