If you are going to ski at Mt Buller, then staying “on mountain” will make the most of your winter wonderland holiday. Staying at Hotel Pension Grimus will be the luxurious icing on the cake. While everyone else is traipsing their ski equipment up and down mountains to get to the ski lifts, you can enjoy a full buffet breakfast before skiing straight to the Holden sixseat chairlift 50m away.Hotel Pension Grimus easily lives up to its iconic status on the mountain. It has an enviable skiin, skiout position, traditional Austrian ski lodge ambience and delightful European hospitality thanks to owners Hans and Lotte Grimus and their staf. Expect wellappointed, chaletstyle hotel rooms with spa ensuites and incredibly spacious selfcontained apartments that sleep up to 12 (perfect for families and groups). Each offers warmth, comfort and a touch of European style. Our favourite inclusions are the private balconies with mountaintop views.
After a day on the piste, unwind in the sauna and spa complex before heading to Herbie’s cocktail bar and its impressive collection of imported schnapps. Some guests find it difficult to move from the bar, but trying the regional producedriven cuisine with an Austrian twist in Kaptans
