The Hotel Charsfield started life in 1889 as a “handsome new residence” for one of Melbourne’s wealthiest families. It is a charming palatial mansion of magnifi cent proportions entirely suited to its grand tree-lined St Kilda Road location. Luckily for holiday-makers and business travellers today, this National Trust heritage-listed Victorian has survived the years and blossomed into a lovingly renovated boutique city hotel.Befitting its impressive facade, everything about The Hotel Charsfield exudes elegance and style. Step inside and you will find richly appointed interiors, lush curtains, original marble fireplaces, a grand sweeping staircase and impossibly high ceilings.
Charsfield’s transformation into a boutique hotel comes complete with every modern day comfort and attentive service. There’s a stately restaurant serving modern European meals, an elegant reading room complete with Chesterfields, a snooker room with a full size table, a free gym close by and even a Beauty Room offering massage and beauty pamper packages.
If you must work in this gorgeous setting, each room has wired broadband and WiFi. But it would be a pity to spend too much time working when The Hotel Charsfi eld is designed for a more relaxing Melbourne stay.

I stayed at the Hotel the night before my wedding and wedding night - our photo's are amazing - what a delightful boutique hotel
