If you want a taste of inner-city Melbourne living then Hotel Causeway is the CBD hotel for you. It’s in the middle of the city’s celebrated laneway culture with leading boutique fashion brands on its doorstep. Across the road is David Jones and the Bourke Street Mall is a block away.If the credit card gets too much of a retail pounding, Melbourne’s culinary, cultural, sporting and historic alternatives are all an easy walk or tram distance away. These include the NGV, theatres, galleries, MCG, Docklands, the Yarra River, Botanic Gardens, Flinders Station and Federation Square, to name a few.
Hotel Causeway’s 1930 Art Deco façade hides a contemporary heart with its range of rooms offering a
lively, boutique feel. The surprisingly quiet rooms feature lush dark carpets, white linen and deep aubergine armchairs to imbue a sense of calm and relaxation – perfect after a hard day’s shopping or work.
The executive rooms are a great size. Guests wanting more space should choose a larger spa suite with its huge, circular spa in the ensuite. Longer stays and working trips are best suited to the duplexes.
Whichever you choose, enjoy the continental breakfast buffet in the morning and a drink on the sun-drenched rooftop terrace later in the day.
