The Flinders Hotel has undergone significant renovation over the last five years, culminating in the opening of Quarters; its 40 room accommodation facility. This boutique hotel provides a luxurious space to call home while you explore the seaside town of Flinders and the wider Mornington Peninsula.

Appealing to the needs of discerning travellers, this architect-designed hotel is inspired by its natural surrounds and blends beautifully into the coastal landscape. The stylishly appointed rooms are modern, comfortable and spacious. Original artworks by Andrew Grech complement the sleek furnishings, and every room boasts Aveda bath products and fine European linens. Not only are the features five-star, the service is too.

We stayed in the Bass Room, which was perfect for two of us and overlooked the beautiful landscaped garden. We also asked for a peek inside the Flinders Suite, the only one of its kind at Quarters. This impressive apartment has an outdoor balcony, an enticing freestanding bathtub, and a separate powder room for visitors.

Here, you have two top-notch dining options on your doorstep. The Deck Bar & Bistro is located at the front of the hotel and serves up gourmet pub grub and drinks in a casual setting. The new kid on the Flinders Hotel dining block is Georgie Bass Cafe & Cookery. This eatery has recently opened opposite the hotel and offers all-day breakfast and lunch fare. The Georgie Bass cooking program is set to launch in March 2016 and will have a regional produce focus. The program will offer stay-and-cook culinary escapes, wine and food matching classes, and hands-on cooking sessions.

Flinders is an adorable beachside destination and an excellent base for exploring the Peninsula. Quarters is just a short stroll from the beach and the town centre, and the surrounding cellar doors and farm gates wait your arrival. The Peninsula Hot Springs are only 20 minutes drive away and if you continue in the same direction, you’ll reach the popular towns of Sorrento and Portsea.

A stay at the Flinders Hotel is the perfect option for those wanting to add a touch of city class to their coastal sojourn.

What a fantastic boutique hotel, the staff were warm and friendly, the rooms spacious and comfortable and the best king size bed. The room came with a continental breakfast which is unlike any continental breakfast I have experienced, it was a full buffet of the traditional cold breakfast items one would expect like cereal, toast, pastries etc. as well as a huge selection of cold meats, cheese, quiche and breakfast salads, very impressive to say the least! However having our hearts set on a hot breakfast we were happy to pay the extra and ordered the reasonably priced Flinders Breakfast which was everything one would expect from the signature hot breakfast, couldn't fault it and worth every cent.

If you are looking for a quick getaway away from the city then I can highly recommend Flinders Hotel
