Fern Gulley at Blackwood River Retreat
Nannup
Review by Beautiful Accommodation
The supporting cast for these thoroughly charming country cottages is a marvellous collection of friendly animals who parade through its peaceful setting. Peacocks strut the gardens, ducks and geese potter about and three black-faced Dorper sheep graze calmly with alpacas and donkeys. In this picturesqueriver-front Eden all are content to share its blessings – and that included us as guests.
Many guests have been devotedly returning for years to Fern Gulley to live the country life. There are two styles of cottage to choose from: either a time-honoured traditional interior style (think chintz, lace and deep comfy sofas) or a very modern fitout done in rich, natural tones. Whichever you prefer, all have a spa on the balcony so you can bubble away contentedly as you gaze out over the scenery and its inhabitants.
Spend the days here relaxing in your cottage, wandering the shore of Blackwood River or birdspotting
with the aid of guidebooks thoughtfully left in each cottage by host Bonnie Baxter. Nearby is a winery for lazy lunches and there are bush trails to explore. This is a very relaxed country escape far away from city cares.

A perfect place to be nurtured by nature and feel your whole being relax and let go all your problems. It all begins with a very warm welcome from Bonnie. The comfort, the spa, the river and trees and the animals. A new you leaves for home after just a few days. Thank you Bonnie.
