Another good timeEncore Apartments have done it again with the latest addition to their suite of Bathurst accommodation, the beautifully restored Federation era Delkeith Cottage. But don’t be misled by the ‘cottage’ moniker, Delkeith is a three-bedroom, two-lounge, two-bathroom home with a chef’s kitchen and space to lounge in comfort and privacy. We adore the restrained use of feature furnishings – a big brass bed in one bedroom or pair of comfy lounges in the family room – to accent lines of sight and room proportions. This is Federation with a modern fling.
The nearby townhouse and one- and two-bedroom apartments that Encore is best known for are as comfortably contemporary as Delkeith is cosily traditional. They make perfect bases for anyone who has business in Bathurst or who pauses their travels to explore this historic NSW inland town. We like the uncluttered, Asian-influenced interior designs of these apartments, which are thoroughly relaxed yet wonderfully stylish. All are equipped with kitchens for home cooking, bathrooms with quality products and fluffy towels, LCD TVs and air-conditioning. You can just shut the door and relax.
Bathurst has some of the finest colonial architecture in NSW, reflecting its status as the first big settlement beyond the Blue Mountains.
