Elliminook started life in 1865 and it is now a National Trust-classified homestead. It has been beautifully restored to showcase its graceful proportions. Special touches include elegant antique and period furniture, works of art and gorgeous attention to detail. It all makes Elliminook one of our favourite heritage bed and breakfast experiences.The inviting accommodation options include three in-house guest rooms plus a two-bedroom apartment that is perfect for couples travelling together. Better still, the property has the flexibility to allow for exclusive group getaways for eight to ten guests.
Enjoy the lounge with its wood fire, the formal dining room, gallery and Elliminook’s extensive grounds that invite hours of exploration and relaxation. The main garden dates back to the 1890s and features manicured garden beds, huge trees and a bluestone paved central courtyard. This is bordered with prolific iceberg roses and a “folly” next to the huge elm tree. A tennis court, boules and croquet lawn will also on offer here but you may wish to simply choose your spot, order a bottle of wine and settle down to enjoy the ambience.
The quaint village of Birregurra is within walking distance, with its antique stores, fresh produce and boutiques. If you visit on the weekend, we suggest booking in for lunch at Sunnybrae, and for those keen to explore the Great Ocean Road, Lorne is just 25mins away.

One apartment: two queen bedrooms, one trundle, lounge/dining, bathroom, kitchenette. Three rooms: two quuen with trundle, one duble, ensuites, TV, fans (two with RC AC). Guest lounge (wood fire), dining room. Tennis court, croquet lawn, boules. Off-street parking.
