Scenic Pokolbin paradiseElfin Hill is the Pokolbin district’s longest-running accommodation venue. It is easy to see why it has thrived for almost 40 years: it combines a tradition of superb service with a breathtaking hillside location in one of Australia’s most celebrated winemaking regions. Everyone from couples to friends on a cellar door tour will find a cosy bed and wonderful breakfast awaiting them here.
Elfin Hill has two choices of accommodation. There is a gorgeous contemporary villa with a loft bedroom, kitchen and private patio that overlooks a neighbouring vineyard. In the late afternoon sunshine it’s idyllic. There are also six hotel-style studio rooms – all beautifully renovated with comfy beds and garden views from their big picture windows. Up to 22 guests can stay and larger travelling parties always love the lounge and kitchen pavilion. There is even a pool for splashing in on a summer’s day.
The Pokolbin Valley setting is flooded with birdsong throughout the day and the majestic garden has seats for meditating on the view. You can order up special picnic baskets to take along on your explorations.
