Edgewater Terraces: the name is an evocative prelude to your stay. The resort is a collection of house-sized villas and terraces on the edge of Chinamans Creek, which is a broad inlet leading into Bancroft Bay.Each accommodation option is huge. The largest terrace sleeps up to 10 in four bedrooms, while the others are just as spacious, whether it’s the one-bedroom terrace or the newer three-bedroom deluxe terrace.
All exude a sense of space and feature one to three private balconies
where you can enjoy a relaxed breakfast or barbecue. Most have two storeys with wonderful treetop
and water views. We’re not the only ones who love the setting – scatter the provided birdseed and soon you will be joined by a menagerie of rosellas, lorikeets and galahs that will hang around as you click your camera. You can berth your boat across the road at Edgewater’s private jetty or you can hire a day boat.
Metung’s restaurants and cafes are a pleasant 15-minute stroll away along the boardwalk. Back at the resort, swim in the solar-heated pool, soak in the indoor heated spa, then simply relax on your private terrace and enjoy the serenity.
