The charming town of Avoca in Victoria’s Pyrenees region is famous for a few things, including itssensational wines, great racecourse and its position as the gateway to the Grampians. It is also well-known for Mount Avoca winery and its highly regarded shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and tempranillo. Whites also excel here and the cellar door is open daily for visitors to taste their range of
cool climate wines and olive oils.
Now, new to the mix are three striking eco-lodges perched on a hilltop,each positioned for privacy while also maximising the quintessential Australian views. Here you can enjoy an outlook of vines, long valley vistas and gum trees, with the occasional sheep and kangaroo completing the stunning picture. The self-catering Eco-Luxe lodges are all about relaxing and unwinding – the generous lounge and balcony take in the serene views, as does the master bedroom with its huge wall of glass. Each lodge also has its own beautifullly appointed spa bathroom that has thoughtfully included aromatherapy products. A complimentary bottle of Mount Avoca wine on arrival is the perfect accompaniment to the sensational sunsets over the distant Pyrenees.
Come with your partner or friends and family. Each lodge also features a bunk room but if you’re seeking more space, the recently refurbished original homestead is a fantastic option for groups. It can sleep up to 12 guests.
