Review by Beautiful Accommodation

Kyneton is fast becoming a foodie Mecca of Victoria and being just 70 minutes north of Melbourne up the Calder Freeway, it’s the perfect quick getaway for a weekend or a week. Eat Sleep Kyneton is one of Kyneton’s most stylish self-contained holiday retreats. We are talking no expense spared – gorgeous
furnishings, everything you need in the kitchen, eye-catching original artwork, antique prints and original
images by photographer/owner Jonathan Hawley.

Eat Sleep Kyneton is in the heart of town, which means you can walk to historic Piper Street and Mollison Street. There are at least 20 restaurants, cafes and pubs within strolling distance – everything from casual cafes and pubs, right up to smart restaurants hatted by The Age Good Food Guide. There is even a monthly farmers’ market for gathering your own fabulous fresh produce.

The house itself is a gorgeous Victorian cottage from the outside, but slick and fully renovated for contemporary glam inside. There are four inviting bedrooms (the main with ensuite), plus a big main bathroom with an indulgent deep soaker bath. There is also a huge open-plan living, dining and kitchen area that opens out to a large north-facing entertaining deck and beautiful cottage garden. In a word: exquisite.

Facilities

One four-bedroom house: king; queen (WIR, ensuite); two twin rooms (one with TV/DVD). Bathroom (bath, separate shower), laundry, dining/kitchen/living (gas log fi re, LCD TV, DVD, iPod dock, stereo). Ducted AC, central heating. Deck, BBQ, garden.

Hi Jenny and Jonathan! What a wonderful home you have created. We were absolutely delighted to find the photos of the house actually don't do it justice! Everything is lovely and the finishes are fabulous. Love the travel photos. Sparkling clean! Our family
of 5 stayed there with my parents and the bedroom with ensuite afforded the grandparents a bit of peace and privacy! Gorgeous garden and perfect walking distance to all those restaurants that we had trouble staying out of! Excellent hosts from beginning to
end - nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again. TREAT YOUR FAMILY!

Dear Jenny, Thank you for our wonderful Kyneton experience. We loved Eat Sleep Kyneton, and our meals at Star Anise and Annie Smithers were beautiful. The farmers market under the church was like being in England. Thanks again, Melinda.

Hi Jenny, My girlfriends and I have had a lovely weekend at Eat Sleep Kyneton. The house is one of the nicest rentals properties we have come across. We really like your style and clever decorating and the attention to detail is fantastic. The generous
supplies of everything, glasses, crockery, music etc was great. We had a very comfortable and relaxing time and would not hesitate to recommend your beautiful property.

This gorgeous house was just perfect for a girls birthday weekend in winter. We loved the cosy lounge, a well stocked kitchen for our Saturday night birthday feast and super comfortable beds. We also loved the plethora of interesting reads to be found
within all the rooms of the house. We also ventured out into town and enjoyed fantastic food at Mr Carsisi, Little Swallow Cafe and Monsieur Pierre - Yumm!!! I highly reccommend :)

Hi Jenny, We had a fabulous time at Eat Sleep Kyneton. You have created a beautiful property that makes you want to stay longer than you have. All of us loved everything about it from the comfy beds, beautiful furniture, Jonathon's stunning photography,
wide range of reading materials and those finer details such as quality linen, teapot with real tea, cotton balls - the list could just keep on going. We didn't realise Kyneton was such a lovely town and how much it had to offer and the majority of people
were so friendly. Marissa and Tony of the Albion Hotel couldn't have been more welcoming or friendly (along with Warren our waiter and Ken the Chef! - what a couple of characters!! We spent both evenings with these guys as they were such fun) and Jessie at
the Dhaba At The Mill - amazing Indian food! We also tried the baked eggs at the Steam Mill Cafe - absolutely delicious and once again, such friendly service. You have obviously put a lot of thought into creating Eat Sleep Kyneton so congratulations on creating
a little piece of heaven in the perfect location. We certainly hope to return there in the future and will definitely recommend you to friends and family.

I have recently returned from a most relaxing and indulgent time away with girlfriends at this gorgeous house. Although eating out in Kyneton is a must we enjoyed cooking in the very well equipped kitchen. Eating outside in the sunny backyard was memorable. The house is spacious and all the appliances are easy to use The bedrooms are beautiful and we thought the individual design and decoration of each one a delight. Our group especially liked the excellent books found throughout the house. Just one of the many thoughtful touches Jenny provides to enhance your stay. Lauriston Street is central to all that you will want to do in Kyneton. We highly recommend Eat Sleep Kyneton to anyone wishing to be spoiled You won't be disappointed.

House was great, plenty of room to accommodate 4 couples, especially with spacious outdoor area.

Kitchen decked out with everything you need to create a feast.

but probably the best thing was the extra touches jenny provided, gift on arrival, detailed notes on what to explore in town and fast and efficient follow up. (when was the last time you got a email warning you about some cold weather on the way, so that you packed appropriately) first class.

Baby boomers are a spoilt lot - and we were spoilt again during our recent stay at Eat Sleep Kyneton. Not only did the house offer wonderful facilities - comfy beds, lovely linen, and a well equipped kitchen - the added bonus was the location - within easy walking distance of a large selection of great restaurants, quirky gift shops and local produce suppliers. The house easily accommodates a large group - in very comfortable style! To be recommended as a summer or winter destination - definitely a foodies delight!

"Perfection - it couldn't be faulted! Things we enjoyed: Jenny's detailed information on Kyneton attractions and especially everything we needed to know about the house, equipment, etc. The cosy central heating. The wonderfully comfortable beds. The superbly equipped kitchen and dining facilities. The central location. Jenny's quick response to any questions. We plan a return visit as soon as possible! "

We found Eat Sleep Kyneton superb in every respect. Before we had even arrived Jenny had supplied us with an abundant amount of information about the property and what Kyneton had to offer. The house has been beautifully renovated with every piece of equipment imaginable and easily accommodated the four couples. Everything in the house appeared brand new, including the games which we made good use of. The weather outside was cold but we were extremely cosy inside.
