To imagine a perfect tropical setting, you might give priority to crystal-clear streams with sparkling waterfalls sweeping over spectacular polished stone formations. Lush rainforest should also be included in this picture, with oodles of native wildlife. If that sounds just right, then nature has already done it all at Daintree Cascades.This amazing retreat offers two secluded options: The Cottage sleeps four and the Round House sleeps six, or they can both be reserved for larger groups. Each one is an architectural gem, making extensive use of timber and capitalising on its own private nook. The owners have created a zen-like pebble area around the buildings so that sun and air can enter, and the cooling forest damp can be savoured at a slight distance.
Guests in each dwelling have their own private access to the streams that flow past. You can take a dip in the pure waters while appreciating the soothing current is also generating enough electric current to power the entire property. You will share this breathtaking wonderland with cassowary, tree kangaroo, pademelon, myriad songbirds, water dragon, turtle and jungle perch.
