A few heavenly days spent perched on the stunning Scenic Rim of the Gold Coast hinterland at Clouds on Beechmont is pure tonic for the soul. There are three eclectic options: a timbered chalet, a swank apartment or a superbly renovated 1930s church.The spacious cedar chalet has tasteful country-style interior finishes and a wraparound balcony to take in the incredible views over eight national parks. The ultra-chic Clouds Silver Lining apartment blends a bold interior with wonderful artworks. Its breathtaking views are best appreciated from the heated outdoor spa – with some jazz playing and a glass of sparkling. And we love how the open, airy feel of the sensationally restored Old Saint John’s Church has been maintained by creating unique mezzanine bedrooms with flawless interior detail.
The generous hosts provide full breakfast provisions, loads of local fruits and vegetables and a homemade puttanesca pasta sauce waiting on the stovetop on arrival. Local pubs and wineries are easily reached nearby. Heavenly.
