This wonderful cottage is one of the oldest on Phillip Island and belonged to Rhyll founder, Captain John Lock. It has been wonderfully retained and as soon as you open the front door, you will be struck by its relaxed feel. Polished floorboards, white walls, chandeliers and an open fireplace combine with an eclectic mix of furniture to offer easy holiday living.
There are two bedrooms at the front of the house, both with French doors that open out to the verandah. The main bedroom has a queen-sized cast-iron bed, positioned to allow gazing out to the moored sailing boats in the distance.
There are two living areas, one with an open fireplace, and guests will love opening out to the verandah and barbecue from here.
The big family kitchen is like a glorious step back in time. It’s light and airy with a wood stove, collection of bone-handled knives and silver cutlery alongside antique crockery. Two additional bedrooms are also included, making this a perfect choice for couples, families or a getaway to share with friends. The two
bathrooms, one with claw-foot bath, will also keep everyone happy. This is a home for relaxed enjoyment where you can kick back and enjoy the moment.
