Garden of delightsYou will immediately know this was the right choice for the family holiday or getaway with friends on entry to this gorgeous sub-tropical garden. There is the shimmering blue pool that you will all romp around in, deck chairs for lazing away the afternoon with a magazine and an iced tea, and the barbecue setting for evening get-togethers. Just pick your bedrooms and hop straight into holiday mode.
Byron Retreat is a charming folly. It comprises two, two-storey pavilions that are linked by a light-filled atrium with a quietly burbling fountain. Curved staircases wind up to each of the mezzanine floors, lending a Spanish mission feel. Tiles are brilliantly used throughout the property, notably in the funky bathrooms and the Mexican-influenced barbecue terrace. The owners welcome kids and their pets, and have provided a cubby to play in, DVDs to watch and a toy cupboard to explore. The generosity of spirit extends to everyone, with goodies such as Sanctum toiletries in the bathrooms and local Ewingsdale plunger coffee in the arrival hamper.
Ewingsdale is serenely quiet but just a few minutes from all Byron’s best beaches, shopping and places to eat.

One house: three bedrooms (two with queen and ensuite, third with one queen and two singles by arrangement; all with RC AC), lounge (wood fire, TV, DVD, VCR with library, CD), library, dining, kitchen. Pool, BBQ, laundry, cot and high chair.
