Everything about Boroka Downs exudes a sense of space, luxury and privacy. The contemporary retreats are so widely spaced you will think you are the only people in this superb part of the Grampians. But be warned: you will soon meet neighbours of the two-legged variety, with emus, kangaroos, wallabies and an array of birdlife calling this 306-acre property home.The views across the countryside to the ranges of the Grampians National Park are mesmerising, and each retreat has been carefully positioned to make the most of the panoramic outlook. With soaring rooflines, walls of glass, a roaring wood fire, not to mention all the entertainment gadgets you need, an automatic espresso machine and king beds with views, it is surprising guests ever leave these cocoons of luxurious indulgence. Add the options of gourmet picnic and dinner hampers, a selection of local wines, and an extensive DVD library and your day is complete.
If you do want to explore, there are walks on the property itself, with guided nature walks available most afternoons. Bikes and golf clubs are also on-hand. And if you are seeking a truly romantic and private alternative to a big wedding, Boroka Downs offers memorable elopement packages.
