People travel from the world over to see the Tasmanian east coast. Its famous orange and fiery redlichen-covered boulders emerge from the crystalline and incredibly clear blue waters. At Bicheno Hideaway, you will enjoy a private viewing of this spectacular coastline at your door.
The chalets are absolute waterfront, yet tucked into the surrounding bush. They exude a sense of rustic design, yet offer an inviting space where you can get close to nature. There’s also a secret beach a short walk away. The feel is one of nature-based peace and exclusivity.
The chalets are dotted about a six-acre bush setting with plenty of wildlife and bird spotting opportunities. But what makes Bicheno Hideaway unique is the curved-roof design of the chalets, which leads your eye to the ocean views beyond. There are four chalets with one or two bedrooms (perfect for couples or friends travelling together), while the larger four-bedroom Boathouse is popular with families.
The idea is to relax, swim, snorkel, go fishing or simply read a book on the deck. If want to explore, the Bay of Fires is to the north and Freycinet to the south. It’s a fantastic central location, but sometimes it’s just nice to sit back and hear the sound of the waves breaking.
