Beach House Shoalwater ticks all the boxes for a perfect family escape – it is only 45 minutes from Perth, so the kids will only ask “Are we there yet?�? once, if at all. It is right over the road from Rockingham's beach so the sound of the waves can be heard. And best of all Beach House Shoalwater sleeps up to seven, so the kids can even invite a friend or two to stay.This beach house holds a few surprises too. We love the upstairs entertainment lounge and balcony – put the kids to bed and retreat upstairs to watch the sun set with a glass of wine. What could be more relaxing? There is a second lounge downstairs that also has ocean views, a full kitchen and outside there are lawns for the kids to play on. This is a beach house for all seasons that is well presented but not fussy – a place for a relaxed family holiday.
There's a cafe strip and restaurants within a moments drive and the wonders of the Shoalwater Marine Park await exploration (including the penguins and dolphins). You can dive, windsurf, sea kayak and golf and there are even local wineries to explore.
