It’s not often you find award-winning wines and world-class surf breaks, farmlands and beaches, eclectic dining and peaceful nature rolled into the one space. Herein lies the beauty of the Mornington Peninsula – serving up all this and more and just an hour’s drive from Melbourne, it’s the ideal quick trip from the city. And Arcadia in Rye is a likewise wonderful contrast; a quiet haven to hideaway and refresh, yet within easy reach of the happenings.

With two guest suites and a larger studio – each with their own double spa bathroom – this is the perfect place to spend a weekend with your love and your favourite coupled friends. Winding up the long driveway through beautifully landscaped gardens, trickling water features and a gazebo amongst the trees, you get a sense of the respite you’re about to enjoy. But it’s not until you step inside that the real ‘wow’ factor kicks in.

Here, classic meets modern in the best kind of way. A blend of vintage pieces and on-trend accents result in spaces with both a unique character and refreshing simplicity. Drop your bags and breathe deeply – you’ve arrived to a break made for tuning in, and chilling out. In summer, wake up with espressos enjoyed al fresco and a morning swim, lolling about the pool a while before deciding on what to do in the day ahead. In winter, curl up in front of the fireplace under a soft throw on the plush lounge, and share a bottle of something special from the region’s renowned wineries.

As hard as it may be to work up the motivation to leave your comfortable stay, it will be worth it to visit incredible beaches and lush national parks, sip delicious wines and dine on super fresh produce, trawl through antique treasure troves and weekend markets. Map out a trail through the myriad cellar doors in Red Hill and Mainridge. Sink into serenity at the Peninsula Hot Springs, and float in the crystal clear bays.

There’s so much to do here a night is not enough, and at the end of each day’s adventures, you’ll love returning to Arcadia on Rye.

Beautiful accommodation, Deb and Dave were so welcoming and helpful. Perfect location - quiet yet not far from the shops or beach. Clean facilities, comfortable bed and great spa bath. Excellent choice for a weekend escape! Highly recommend and will definitely be going back!
