A Sunshine Farmstay is a truly enchanting name, suggesting a happy place for family holidays. Set within a grassy glen shaded by tall trees, this charming three-bedroom home is for the exclusive use of one family at a time.When you arrive, the aroma of fresh baked bread wafts out the front door – the hosts prepare your country escape with personal touches including homemade jams and thirsty towels. All you need to do is arrive with your supplies of favourite foods and settle into country life.
The kids will love the endless lawns on which to play, the millions of stars at night and the 60 species of birds that call this idyllic farm their home. ‘Farmstay' implies critters, and the hosts (who live on the farm up the hill) are happy to show the kids their chooks, cows and sheep if the demands of their farming schedule allow. This is a place to take the kids on adventures, relax by the wood fire and cook up a country feast or BBQ and enjoy a wine or two. And being equidistant between Denmark and Albany, you won't be short of tours and attractions for a week or more of activities.

I have recently returned from a getaway to the great southern and stayed at A Sunshine Farm stay. The atmosphere was great for a much needed relaxing retreat. Walk trails through the bush was a good way to enjoy the beauty of the forrest and surroundings while being close enough to both Albany and Denmark for convenience. A big thank you to Darlene and Geoff who spent their time showing me around the farm and meeting Molly the cow as well as the new born lambs.
Look forward to returning in the not too distant future!
