You can have big country-home get-togethers with family and friends – without having to own a rural property or learn how to farm. At Spring Hill, which occupies a splendid rise overlooking the rolling hills of the Burrawang district, you can get the whole stone and cedar homestead all to yourselves for an entire weekend. Or, during the week, you can take it room by room with a huge breakfast hamper thrown in to start the morning.
This place is monumental in scale, with room enough to sleep a party of 14. And the shared areas are appropriately scaled up in size: the vast lounge has a cathedral ceiling and is warmed by a roasting fire and the kitchen is all bench space and mod cons. But there are also lovely side nooks like the sunroom and deckchairs outside to bask in the sun. If you need some hands-on farm time, you can help feed the cattle, gather eggs or just wander this blissful property.
