Sustainable and stylish, eco-friendly and yet luxurious – The Bawley Bed and Breakfast was green before green was trendy. Hand-built by hosts Bryan and Leonie Coombes to offer genuine hospitality in a pristine seaside locale. Mudbrick and recycled timbers blend with contemporary furnishings to provide an earthy, warm ambience that is a tribute to the hosts' imagination.
The Bawley Bed & Breakfast has five ensuite bedrooms decorated in soothing tones that complement the building's natural materials. Clusters of sofas and chairs are dotted about the guest lounge so guests can have their own space. In cooler weather a slow-combustion fire warms the lounge and the dining area, which features hand-made furniture. Breakfasts at any time of the year are the full deal, enjoyed in the superb dining room. It is little wonder that The Bawley is so superbly run and presented – the hosts have been working together in tourism management for more than 20 years.
 Another pleasing aspect is the verdant bushland garden setting. The hosts planted every tree as a seedling, and the now-mature 3½ acre garden with its sweeping lawns is the perfect counterpoint to the coastal environment just beyond.
