Bellachara means beautiful character and that is exactly what sets this outstanding boutique hotel apart. When owner Gregg Currie selects staff the job description does not include “only experienced candidates need apply”. He is only interested in warm-hearted people who will genuinely enjoy caring for guests. Skills can be taught; character can't.
And nothing could be more heavenly than real hospitality in a chic, contemporary setting. They will even care for your children at Jak's Corner kids club so that you and your beloved can slip off to the day spa for body replenishing treatments. Recover with a glass of bubbly before retreating to your luxurious room in preparation for a romantic dinner.
The chic dining room, warmly decorated in rich reds and chocolates, is just the place to relish chef Matt Hilford's imaginative but unpretentious cuisine. And in the morning, have a playful splash in the adults-only pool (there is also a family-friendly one), a game of tennis or just gaze at the ocean vista.
Location: 130km or 1¾ hours south of Sydney. RA 35 B7.
Facilities: A range of Garden, Balcony and Spa rooms (king/twin singles, lounge, plasma TV, Playstation 2, kitchenette; some with spa) and one Pool Suite (with kitchen). Two pools, tennis court. Jaks Corner kids' club. Restaurant and wine lounge, conference and event facilities. Day spa. All meals available. Visit this property's website
