Only open during winter, Perisher Valley Hotel is a beauty – there are just 31 deluxe rooms and split-level suites – located at the base of the ski lifts. That's right: no fuss, you pull on the boots, snap on the skis and glide out the door to the chairlift, which is why you came, after all.
That location alone might be enough for ski fanatics but those who also need their comforts will find themselves even more at home, say, tucked up with a hot toddy before the open fire in the cocktail bar or having an expert masseuse work the knots out.
