If you seek a ski-in, ski-out hotel experience with every après ski base covered, here is your ski place in Perisher. Only open during winter, Perisher Valley Hotel is a beauty – there are just 31 deluxe rooms and split-level suites – located at the base of the ski lifts. That's right: no fuss, you pull on the boots, snap on the skis and glide out the door to the chairlift, which is why you came, after all.
That location alone might be enough for ski fanatics but those who also need their comforts will find themselves even more at home, say, tucked up with a hot toddy before the open fire in the cocktail bar or having an expert masseuse work the knots out. From the balcony of your cosily relaxed suite, you can look straight over the slopes.
Of course, there's a kids club during school holidays, allowing grown-ups to let their hair down at the Jax Nightclub or refuel with a char-grilled steak. And why not cap your evening with a steamy sauna and a  romantic stroll through the snowy landscape....
