Set amid 36 acres of thriving shiraz, merlot and chardonnay vines, the splendid Holman Estate homestead offers spectacular views over the undulating Hunter Valley. The Estate forms part of the internationally successful Mount Eyre Vineyards whose owners' Greco-Italian ancestry is reflected in the property's tastefully European style and ambience.
Guests have exclusive use of the homestead. The residence has four bedrooms, making it ideal for a family reunion, corporate brain-storming session or a small wedding. High cathedral ceilings arch over the big open-plan lounge and dining area, which share a glowing fireplace for port and foot warming after dinner. Or, if you need activity, take your drinks over to the billiards room for a few games.
There is a fully equipped kitchen but don't worry if cooking's not your thing – the main Hunter Valley township of Pokolbin is close by, spoiling you for choice with a medley of gourmet restaurants. If the fine Mount  Eyre wines encourage you to explore further afield, you are close to many of the region's best vineyards as well as some spectacular golf courses, should the mood take you.
