This is country charm and exclusivity at its best. With no other guests, only one couple at a time will revel in the peaceful surroundings of Killaiden by staying in the fairy-tale 1860s Rose Cottage.
This is a truly impeccable restoration of a historic 1860s shearers' cottage. We love the fact how crisp linen, fresh bright interiors and modern conveniences have been achieved whilst retaining historical charm and integrity. Yet it is the detail lavished by the hosts that impresses us most. Guests receive complimentary wine and chocolates on arrival. You can sample jams made with the property's own fruits, afternoon tea is served each day and the sparkling new cafe features contemporary dishes made from fresh country-style ingredients and excellent coffee.
Quiet local lanes are just right for walking or cycling, and a brief stroll brings you to the  Laggan Hotel or the 1860s Willowvale Mill, now a fine restaurant. A leisurely drive takes in unspoilt countryside, antique shops and even caves to explore. At the end of a day's unhurried activity, relax in the rose garden before enjoying a special dinner for two in the cafe.
