But if you really need to let out your inner child and escape the everyday world, we have a special place for you: the Old Church at Byron Bay.
This is your Byron holiday fantasy home – a magnificent old church circa 1911, set in rambling tropical gardens with room for a gathering of adults and kids to eat, play, run or find secret little nooks for a quiet read and coffee away from the fuss. Upstairs in the attic bedroom is a queen bed, ideal for parents who need to literally get above it all, and there are spare bathrooms and toilets. The big lounge area has all the gear for quiet time or a wet afternoon and there's a separate rumpus room.
At Newrybar, you are close to all the main attractions of the hinterland but blissfully removed from the hustle and bustle of Byron itself. Blessed relief.
