Can't decide whether to go beach or bush' It's a choice you don't even need to make at Byron Plantation. This magnificent homestead sits high on 100 acres of rare, unspoiled hinterland. Yet just moments away, across a rich tapestry of macadamia groves and sugar cane fields, the ocean waves roll in. Peace reigns at the Plantation, interrupted only by the sweet songs of local bird life.
The house is extraordinarily spacious, making it a superb choice for family or group escapes. Its artful design is infused with cool, natural tones which speak of contemporary country and nautical themes. This is all about relaxation: there are four large bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen (complete with espresso machine), a huge living/dining area complete with Bose sound system and plasma TV. We love the long pool which dramatically exploits the breathtaking ocean and hinterland views.
 Byron Bay is nearby but the more relaxed Bangalow, with its coffee and arts scene and vibrant cultural festivals, is closer still. World-class beaches are only a few minutes away. Venture out or savour your own private paradise.
