Kimberley Coastal Camp
Helicopter Picnic: Kimberley Coastal Camp hasn't been called Australia's Ultimate Coastal Retreat without good reason. Their newest adventure is a flying picnic on one of the least explored and spectacular coastlines in Australia. With a gourmet lunch and champagne chilling in the eski, step into the helicopter and visit some of the most pristine wilderness areas in the world. Stop and swim in your own private water hole, set down near ancient Bradshaw rock art and fish for barramundi and mangrove jack in isolated billabongs. The biggest decision you will have to make all day is whether to lunch by a picturesque waterfall with its spectacular gorge or on a deserted beach with its turtle tracks and white sand. Some hard decisions to be made, but the easiest and best you'll ever make is to book and indulge! Read our review

The Quarterdeck
Surf's Up! Phone your friends and grab your surfboard (or golf clubs) and take advantage of The Quarterdeck's January/February peak time specials. Only $125/night per couple (minimum of four couples). Check out Margaret River's famous surf breaks from the deck. If it's flat, take a five-minute drive to the beautiful golf course, complete with resident kangaroos, or have a long, leisurely lunch at one of the local wineries, such as Xanadu, Flutes or Vasse Felix. Try morning tea at lovely Berry Farm and watch birds feeding from children's hands, or picnic in magical Boranup Forest and visit nearby Boranup Galley. And it the surf is up – well, you know what to do! Read our review

Mornington Wilderness Camp
Award: Mornington Wildlife Sanctuary has been named as one of the Top 10 Nature Reserves of the last decade. The award was announced by the World Wildlife Fund - Australia (WWF) and the Federal Minister for the Environment, Senator the Hon Ian Campbell. In addition to being named as one of Australia's 'Top 10' reserves, Mornington was identified as the `non-government organisation reserve of the decade'. Covering more than 312,000 hectares (760,000 acres), Mornington Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the heart of the Central Kimberley region, in Australia's remote north-west. AWC Chief Executive, Atticus Fleming, said the award, based on independent scientific advice provided to WWF-Australia, recognises the importance of Mornington to the conservation of Australia's endangered wildlife. 'Mornington is one of the last strongholds for the endangered Gouldian Finch, perhaps Australia's most beautiful bird. AWC supporters and the public can visit Mornington, staying at the comfortable Mornington Wilderness Camp and enjoying one of the most remarkable and rewarding nature-based experiences in Australia.
