This marvellous rammed-earth brick lodge is for the sole enjoyment of just one group at a time. And it is a lodge in the true sense: a place to gather with friends and family. From here in the heart of the Margaret River wine region, you can explore the surrounding wilderness or the local wineries – each has its own pleasures.

Hosts Dawn and Rob hand built Marmalade Lodge (the name comes from the preserves Dawn is famous for and, yes, you get to try them). The result is luxurious lodgings set harmoniously in the natural  environment. The colours and textures, recycled timbers, vaulted ceilings and expansive glass are united in a home with great presence and soul. There is a large lounge and dining area warmed by a roaring combustion stove. Up a spiral staircase, there is an attic nook with a balcony offering sensational valley views.

This is an ideal spot for family reunions, groups of friends sharing a  Margaret River experience, or a family seeking plenty of space. You can explore nearby caves, the Leeuwin- Naturaliste National Park, or the Prevelly and Gnarabup beaches, which are just minutes away.
