Ann’s Place has been a favourite with our readers for many years because of its location in the heart of old Robe town, its lovely views over Guichen Bay and the warmth of hosts Ann and George Murphy. Over the past 40 years, they have become treasures of South Australian tourism.Guests can chose from four ensuite rooms, each very spacious. We love the suite with bay views and a deck – but all share a fresh, bright interior style and have either a spa or soaking tub. The heart of Ann’s Place is the sundrenched guest lounge and dining room with bay views. Here breakfast is served at tables for two (or four, if two couples travel together) and Ann strives to serve local delicacies including fresh fish and smoked bacon. There is something very relaxing about tucking into a hearty feast while admiring the sparkling waters of the bay.
Ann and George have a wealth of knowledge to share, including local history, dining, wineries and walks they love sharing tips with guests who want advice. Whatever your exploratory interests, you’ll love returning to this haven at the end of the day with its garden pergola and roses.
