Look hard at a map of Northern Tasmania and you’ll find the little hamlet of Tam O’Shanter on the coast east of where the Tamar River empties into Bass Strait. And it is worth finding – it is a sensational location with pristine beaches, proximity to the Tamar region’s best wineries and an easy drive to Bridport, Launceston and beyond.Tam O’Shanter Views makes the most of its brilliant position: the spacious and modern home is designed around a wide-open living area with sweeping views across coastal vegetation to the sea beyond. There’s no road between you and water; just wander down a short sandy track, or maybe sit on the expansive verandah sipping a local pinot (or how about a Boags?) and watch the play of sun, water and waves.
This is seaside living at its best. The house is contemporary and comfortable, looking stylish with its polished timber floors, wave-shaped ceiling, four peaceful bedrooms, picture windows and cool white kitchen that is perfect for making the most of the local produce. What a truly sensational place, it was everything and more than what we were expecting. Extremely spacious and comfortable, superbly fitted out with everything you might need, especially the kitchen. I can only hope we get the chance to re-visit again in the future! I would highly recommend this peaceful retreat!!
